What should I do if my iPhone is hacked?

Your phone is not hacked. Accounts are easily compromised with the password that you may have inadvertently gave out by a phishing attempt and leaked from a data breach by many of the cellular providers. The PUK code has nothing to do with Apple and is a code that would have to be provided by your cellular provider.

You will need to contact your carrier to get the SIM PIN and or PUK code and will not be able to make any changes until that happens. Someone knows the passcode to your phone to add a SIM PIN to your device. You will not be able to make calls, get messages, or reset any passwords that need the SMS message sent to you.

It also sounds like someone else signed into your phone with their Apple ID. This would require that they know your Apple ID to log yours account. That would explain why you are seeing the multiple of photos and contacts.

Having the Air Tag linked to your phone only allow you to find the AirTag, it cannot be used to find your location.

Now you will be able Factory Reset your phone and would suggest that you do not restore from a backup. First back up and valuable data.

Unless your iPhone was jail broken, it is nearly impossible to get hacked.

You will need to obtain your PUK code from your carrier.

Also it's very possible that your accounts have been compromised.

That’s the worst. From my experience, most phones, including devices, certainly can be hacked even without physical access or being jail broken. It really depends what you mean by hacked.

If I were you, I would immediately put your phone in lockdown mode and use a different device to reset your passwords. The guides that others posted have really good steps on what to do in this situation.

I also really this Reddit post liked personally. But definitely get your phone to an Apple Store asap. I wouldn’t keep using it if you believe it’s been hacked. A hacked phone has the potential to lead to a hacked home network.

I would not consider Reddit as a source of factual information. While accounts are easily compromised with a username and password and local access to the phone is done by anyone that knows the Passcode, what you are suggesting is a mercenary attack which involves close to a million dollars funded by organizations targeting high level officials. You would also expect a tap on your cell provider eavesdropping on your phone calls and in addition likely being physically followed by human surveillance.

If someone believes that to be the case for them, then help would not be available on this support site and you would need to take additional steps for protection. Even then, Apple does provide this Support Article that includes the threat notification on your Apple Account and does suggest along with Lockdown Mode, to consult a Consumer Reports Security Planner. It would not be resolved here or even by taking the device to an Apple Store.

Yes it does all depend on what a user means by saying their device is hacked. If you consider the phone hacked because you gave someone your credentials through a phishing message, then yes, the phones are hacked all the time.

Your phone has not been hacked, although it is possible that one or more of your accounts has been compromised.

We have no proof that all of your passwords have been compromised.

A PUK code can only be provided by your cellular carrier. Apple is not involved with this in any way.

No one on a user-to-user site can say or predict what Apple might do if you you ask them for a document. You will need to contact Apple directly for this request.

My advice would be for you to contact your lawyer and ask them how best to proceed.

Only your carrier (phone company) can provide you with the PUK code for your SIM.
