Books not loading on Mac after update

I have purchased quite a few books that I need to access on my Mac. After updating to Sequoia I can't access any of them. (I can still access them on other devices). I get the message "This book can't be downloaded. Apple Books is not connected to the internet". My computer is connected. I've logged out and in again. I've restarted my computer, everything. And it's not working. Can anyone help me?

Books app not connecting to the internet on my MacBook Pro hi. i cannot play any of my books on my mac for some reason. if i double click or download it says 'books cannot connect to the internet'. ive tried in another new user folder and it works. i dont have any VPN, adblocker, firewall turned on. podcasts app, music, spotify and all other apps work fine, its just books. any ideas? I Book on mac book I cannot open my books on my mac. when I try i keep getting a message saying the book is not formatted properly i have deleted and redownloaded, I have force quit the app, I have checked my settings restarted the computer Nothing has worked please help i paid for the books and now i can't read them form my mac
