Keyboard lower octaves suddenly stop working in Mainstage

We're currently using MainStage for patches in our musical, hooked up to Roland digital pianos. Rarely we've had an annoying issue where the bottom three-ish octaves of the keyboard just stop working partway through a live show - no MIDI data is received by MainStage. Everything on the upper half of the piano is completely unaffected. Turning the pianos on/off again seems to fix the issue, but I was wondering if anyone knew what was causing this and any possible permanent solutions. Keyboard models are RP501r and FP10 and laptops have been switched between M1 Air/M1 Pro/M2 Pro.
