Seriously, why can’t Siri find music in my library that it’s played before?

the homepod itself can't access your lib at all, it can access apple music and music you have purchased from iTunes

if your library contains music not from there then airplaying said much to the homepod will not enable the homepod access to it on its own

whether music from iTunes, Apple Music, or music I've imported to from any other source.

that have never been the case for the rest of us, unles we used airplay from devices to use the homepod as a speaker.

I use Apple Music, and have several playlists. When this issue started, I could play the playlists manually, but Siri either could not find them, or played something else, or, for a couple of them, actually played them. The playlist I have played most frequently would play some other thing from Apple Music that had no connection to my playlists. I changed the name of my favorite playlist, and tried again, and it has played every time with it's new name.

I have a similar problem, but it does not involve homepads, just Siri, Apple Music, my phone and Carplay. I have played my playlists via Siri repeatedly, for years. “Hey, Siri. Play my playlist…” and no problem. Suddenly, Siri can’t find my playlists. I can play them manually, either on my phone or on the Carplay screen. But, if I tell Siri to play a playlist, I get nothing.
