Seriously, why can’t Siri find music in my library that it’s played before?

Suddenly Siri can’t find music that it’s played a million times beforehand. None of my HomePods can find songs that I’ve previously played and they absolutely ARE in my library, because I can play them from my desktop, iPad, and iPhones with no problem at all and the iPods have no problem when I hand off the music from my IPad or iPhone. The instructions to sync music on all devices is useless because every time I go to check these setting in Apple Music (on any device), the option is already enabled. How is this still happening when I’m paying a monthly fee for Apple Music and iTunes. Btw, is it safe to assume that by “Apple Music Library” Apple means my iTunes music and any music I’ve imported from other sources (Amazon, etc)? This seems like a seriously inexcusable issue to have, given how much these products cost.

The thing is, I’ve done all of the obvious things (like making sure software updates are current, making sure all devices are on the same WiFi network, making sure sync library is enabled across all devices, restarted devices, removed devices and re-added them, etc). I hardly ever ask Siri to play music that hasn’t already been purchased, so I’m talking about tracks and albums that I’ve paid for and that have been in my library for years. I can airplay a song from my library but if I ask Siri to play that same song a moment later, it’s “sorry, I can’t find that in your Apple Music library”. Ridiculous.

I use Apple Music, and have several playlists. When this issue started, I could play the playlists manually, but Siri either could not find them, or played something else, or, for a couple of them, actually played them. The playlist I have played most frequently would play some other thing from Apple Music that had no connection to my playlists. I changed the name of my favorite playlist, and tried again, and it has played every time with it's new name.

I have a similar problem, but it does not involve homepads, just Siri, Apple Music, my phone and Carplay. I have played my playlists via Siri repeatedly, for years. “Hey, Siri. Play my playlist…” and no problem. Suddenly, Siri can’t find my playlists. I can play them manually, either on my phone or on the Carplay screen. But, if I tell Siri to play a playlist, I get nothing.
