FaceTime won't work after installing iOS 18.1.1 update

After installing this update facetime will no longer work, and will either disconnect me a second after joining the call or not let me join at all. Messages works but is very delayed and slow, as is most websites/everything else on the phone. Apple please stop giving us so many software updates just to give us some random new emojis that break my phone every single time OR make unnecessary updates such as 18.1.1 optional.
