is it possible to add Apple Music Songs on an old ipod?

hello everyone,

i want to buy an used ipod to listen music and avoid using my iPhone which is distracting a lot during work.

So the real question is : can i import apple music songs on an ipod? to be clear, i'm looking for an ipod in this order:

  • Ipod Nano 7th Gen (A1446)
  • Ipod Classic (A1238 but needs modding)
  • Ipod Nano 3th Gen (A1236 but needs modding)
  • Ipod Touch 7th.

The best option is obviously the touch one, but i want to buy a nano 7th because is widely available in my country and really cheap.

on classic and nano needs modding because i want to use my Airpods.

Thanks a lot

Depends on what you mean exactly by Apple Music songs. If you mean tracks obtained form the Apple Music subscription service, then:

• Ipod Nano 7th Gen (A1446) ============== NO
• Ipod Classic (A1238 but needs modding) ============== NO
• Ipod Nano 3th Gen (A1236 but needs modding) ============== NO
• Ipod Touch 7th. ============== YES.

You can get Apple Music subscription service tracks onto the iPod touch by logging into Media & Purchases with the Apple ID that holds the subscriptions.

If you mean songs in the Apple Music app on a computer, obtained from CDs or purchased from the iTunes Store or other sources, then they can be added to any of the iPods listed.
