Since iOS 18.0.1, Sleep alarms not working. Is watch switching off alarm on iPhone? Or is something else going on?
I have a 13 mini and recently updated to iOS 18.0.1. I also have an Apple Watch. One of the reasons I wanted the watch is to track sleep and I (used to) wear it to bed. My alarms are set through Sleep settings on the Health app and they have always played through my phone and woke me up fine. When I got the watch, I noticed that the watch made a buzzy feeling when the alarm is going off on the phone. A cute little extra nudge. Since the upgrade, NEITHER are working. I wake up after the set alarm time to see both devices showing a snooze button, but neither are making any sound or haptics. In an attempt to fix this by checking settings, I found a comment in alarm options "When you wear your Apple Watch to bed, the alarm will go off on your watch." Does this mean that the watch is now preventing the alarm from going off on the phone by design? This would not make work for me as the tickle-y feeling the watch makes is no where near enough to wake me up. If it is, how do I change this behavior? By the way... All my volume settings are at the highest. I do have an alarm sound chosen. The phone is not in silent mode and Attention Aware is turned off. In other words, all the settings that worked in prior iOS are still in place, but my morning alarm has just stopped working. All other alarms, such as the ones set for medication reminders or timers work just fine. Reading several threads here have not brought me to a solution. I tried *not* wearing the watch to bed, but it has not resolved the alarm being silenced on the phone. Am having to rely on my battery powered travel alarm clock since the first time I was late to work but would love to go back to the cheery alarm on my phone :-) Any one figured this one out?
