Podcast fast forwarding takes me to start of podcast

I don't know whether this is a bug, but does anyone else have this happen in Apple Podcasts? When I use the fast forward function on my Macbook Pro now, it seems to fast forward, but when I lift my finger, it has gone to the start of the podcast. Driving me bonkers, as not only have I not skipped the ads, but I've lost my place!
