Podcast "External Controls" setting bug. Settings reset with each update.

Each time there is an update to the Podcast App, the External Controls setting resets to Forward/Back.

The setting should not be changing with each software update.

Podcast settings keep refreshing I’ve set up the skip buttons for my apple podcasts to forward 60 seconds and rewind 10 seconds. However, they keep resetting to 30 & 15 every couple days or so. I haven't updated my iphone, and haven't even closed the app, and yet this keeps happening, forcing me to change the settings again each time. Why does this keep happening and is there a way to prevent it? It’s so annoying.

Why are Apple Podcasts playing a random show by default when the current podcast ends? I am so frustrated listening to your podcast app. I typically listen to many episodes from one specific show, one after another. I don’t know if it was the iOS 18 update back in 2024, but for a long time now, each time an episode from a specific show ends, another show will play right afterwards— a show that I do not want to listen to. Even if I manually remove every single show from the Up Next area, the next day, there will be a whole bunch of random shows back in there. The only way to solve this annoyance is to uncheck continuous play. That doesn’t stop the random shows from appearing up next. It just stops those random shows from automatically playing after the episode that I am listening to ends. Less Posted [Edited by Moderator]

Fast forward with headphone also doubles speed Listening to podcast I sometimes like to fast forward by double clicking and holding headphone mic. Since updating to 17.1 when I double click to fast forward it also doubles playback and I have to go to the podcast app to deselect the 2x speed selection. Is this a bug or a new normal ?

apple doesn't care about its customers. i've been having this problem for over a year.
