Messages does not recognise saved contact (To xx and Maybe ...)

Has anyone found a solution to this? I'm on 18.1 RC and that hasn't solved. And yes, I have reported it.

I have tried everything suggested in these posts (and more)

Saved contact showing "Maybe:" and "To:" on iMessage notification

“Maybe” in front of contact name

The new iOS 18 has my husband's contact name saying 'Maybe'

Contact is displayed as number, and is sent to myself and the contact

Texts from a person via iMessage are coming from both their email and phone number separately

My wife’s text message are sent to me and her email.

(ps please don't tell me I can switch notification/Siri suggestions off ... that is not a solution)

I am having this same issue and can’t get it corrected. I’ve researched and tried all recommendations and it continues to occur. I also keep losing the contact picture. I have seen other discussions where it seems to affect the spouse’s contact info a lot. I think it’s a bug, but it’s gotten to be an OLD bug.
