When the phone is connected to CarPlay and you start recording a video, no audio is captured in the video. This issue began after the recent iOS 18 update.

It’s 100% iPhone. I have the same issue with my 16 Pro, no audio, glitches where iphone switches connection. iOS 18 and 16 pro has been the worst experience so far, feel stupid for downgrading from 15 pro max. The only fix I found is in setting you have turn on “mono” for audio recording i camera. Same happens with Nissan, 2 different BMWs. This needs ti be fixed. When iPhone is recording video, it has to always default to iphone microphones, not the infotainment system.
