Technically yes, but it does not appear to work with AirPods Max.

It appears a direct 3.5mm to USB-C connection to the Max is not possible based on many reddit and other forum posts I have read.

Some people claim 3.5mm to Lightning adapter connected to a Lightning to USB-C adapter and then to the AirPods Max may work though.

This answer is correct. I have found the 2024 edition does not support wired connections at all. Interesting move by Apple and one that will limit my use of the device considerably. Since I am work with music and podcasts many of my recording devices, etc do not support bluetooth connections. It also means that they are useless for many planes that do not have Bluetooth. Shame Apple chose to limit the device in this way. I would recommend either another brand or purchasing the lightning version if still available. This is not "cutting edge" it is just extremely limiting and should be advertised in clear wording when selling these headphones
