Pages text is in gold.

I have followed the instructions to change the typed text back to black for iPad but it will only type in gold making Pages unusable for me. I’ve happily used pages for years until now.

Changing selected text in ios 17 Pages After upgrading to ios 17, several settings have changed that I no longer seem to be correct. Selecting text in Pages used to show in a soft blue. Now everything is in this ugly orange. I can find all sorts of tutorials on how to change the highlight color, but nothing on where I can select colors to customize Pages. I really, really hate the orange. Any help appreciated. Image 1 is what I had, and what I still have on my phone. Image 2 is the changed version on my ipad. Can I change the orange back to blue?.

Pages not recognising any words I have bought a new iPad Pro 2022 fully updated with regard to software. Unfortunately, Pages does not recognise many English words. A whole document will be red underlined everywhere. Even the simplest of words like ‘the, about, world, crown’ all red underlined. This was an issue posted about in 2021 but I could not see any resolution. I have tried everything users suggested then like updating software, re selecting language options, resetting the keyboard. I’ve tried everything but nothing works. I can switch off spelling check to get rid of the red lines which allows me to be able to work but for the eye watering cost of this iPad I shouldn’t have to forfeit spell check in pages!! Incidentally, the same document does not open like this on my phone so I’m finding it easier to edit documents on my phone. Defeats the purpose of buying the iPad though!! Help.

Adding punctuation after autocorrected word deletes the word in pages In pages (iPhone), whenever I auto finish or auto correct a word, it automatically highlights the word and suggests to revert it to what it was before. And whenever I try to add punctuation, because the word is highlighted, it will replace the entire word with that punctuation. This is SUPER annoying. And the only reason this happens is because of another annoying feature: the annoying automatic space you can’t turn off. I can add punctuation after the annoying space just fine, but once I try to delete it like I normally do, it just highlights the entire word! I can’t tap before the annoying space - because that also highlights the word. I have to highlight, then unhighlight it every single time I want to add any sort of punctuation. It only recently started doing this, and it’s seriously frustrating me.

Tap once at the beginning of your text and that will present a right side Text panel where you can select the black text color. Tap a second time in the same location and the floating menu will appear where you can choose Select All, and then apply the text color change to your selected content.
