Unable to update apps on my iPhone 12 Pro after iOS 18 update

I didn’t see any either (even a section for them) when I went to my profile in the App Store (where they used to be listed), but I tried pulling down like you typically do to refresh a view in iOS, and to my surprise it worked. The loading spinner came up for a moment and then the view populated with the apps to update. I killed the App Store process and went back in and it appears to be refreshing the apps to update list normally now (without needing to pull down).

It’s in the same spot but they’ve made it so you have to scroll through the entire list of every app you have ever had on Apple (regardless of whether it’s on your phone), while looking for the update button on each. Rather than a list of only those installed with available updates. Much less user-friendly, no idea what Apple is thinking…

Do you possibly have automatic updates enabled? If so, you might never be aware that there updates as they will have already been downloaded.

Found it! It wasn't there when I clicked through on my account to my apps and got the list of apps needing an update.

Go back to the account page, DO NOT click on it the apps section. Scroll down and you'll see another list of all the things that need to be updated with the "update all" button!

1. Go to the App Store app on your iPhone.
2. Tap or your picture at the top right.
3. Scroll down, then tap Update next to apps you want to update, or tap Update All.
