Updating apps in iOS 16

Since i updated to ios16 I cannot update my apps. It shows I have 7 apps to update but it only shows open next to each app.

iPhone 12 Pro Max, iOS 16

The fastest way to check for apps updates is to hold down the App Store icon and select Updates.
