I am having issues with my phone connecting to my iPad through the “control nearby devices” option in the accessibility list. I’m logged in on the same account and WiFi network but it just says searching. Can anybody suggest a fix to this issue? TIA

An iPhone 13 Pro could be 3 years old and a weak, aging battery can cause connectivity issues. So...
Does your iPhone 13 Pro still have its original battery?
And what's the Maximum Capacity % here?...

Hey it’s a 13 pro running 17.7 and the iPad is running the latest software. It’s an iPad Air.
83% is close to Apple's suggested 80% for replacing the battery. And three years is when a battery degrades such that it's unable to provide sufficient power for the iPhone to function normally.
...So the somewhat weak battery may be the reason for the "Searching..." — or it may not. If it were me, I would have the aging battery replaced and see if that fixes the problem. Or you could contact Apple:

Yeah it still has the original battery and BH is @ 83%. So what you’re saying is that I may be having connectivity issues?
