iMessage notification from friend being shown as him texting both himself and me.

I have tried everything. This only started after the update and it is so annoying. It will read as +1 (xxx) xxx-xxxx To you & (Friend). The phone number listed is his. I can provide screenshots.

This only started yesterday morning. I never changed his contact or anything and it’s not happening with anyone else. I’ve tried everything to fix this. Please help.
