Problem verifying my credit card for Apple Wallet/Pay.

I am trying to set up Apple Wallet so that I have easy access to tickets I have purchased (not through Apple pay). Apparently I need to have a verified credit card on the Apple Wallet/Pay site in order to set up Wallet. I have scanned a credit card which is the card that my husband and I use. But when I try to verify that credit card, it says that it cannot be verified because the "primary user" has to log in on my phone and do the verification. Apparently my husband is considered the "primary user" although I have my own card in my same, and we are both listed as users on the bank's records.

My husband does not have an iphone or an apple ID and password. He does not want to get those just so that I can use Apple Wallet on my phone. I tried to go through our bank, which issues the credit card, but their website just sent me back to the same Apple Pay page saying it cannot verify the card without the primary user's log in. So how do I verify our joint credit card on my iphone so that I can set up apple wallet and put tickets in there?

You’re operating under several false assumptions. You do not need to add a credit or debit card to Apple Wallet app in order to add tickets, passes, car keys, house key, hotel room keys, etc.

Just so I can be clear. Is your goal to add tickets to Apple Wallet app? If not, what is the goal?

My goal is just to add tickets from Ticketmaster to the wallet. I was unsuccessful doing that, so I drew the apparently incorrect conclusion that I must need to set up Apple Pay before I could use Apple Wallet. I would rather not set up Apple Play but then I wonder why I've not be able to link Ticketmaster tickets to Apple Wallet.

I've been trying to add them from the Ticketmaster mobile app. These are tickets that a friend bought under a subscription and then gifted to me. In reading internet articles, I have learned that Ticketmaster allows only one user ID to access tickets from a venue. Apparently there is no way to tell Ticketmaster that tickets one person bought have been transferred to someone else. Since my friend bought the tickets as part of her subscription, her ID apparently is the only one Ticketmaster will accept to put the tickets into Apple Wallet. I think this is probably the answer to my problem. Thank you for your comments. It helped to learn that the credit card verification was not the problem.
