Photos 10 Sidebar

In Photos 10 (Sequoia 15.0) the Sidebar is rearranged. Imports used to be near the top, now it's near the bottom. I use Imports a lot.

There does not seem to be a way to rearrange the Sidebar, though I can move main categories, such as Collections. That still leaves Utilities > Imports down the list.

A Keyboard Maestro action to choose Imports from the View menu does not work. Maybe because that's a nonstandard menu. Using a mouse-action recording also doesn't work.

I can't make a keyboard shortcut in System Settings. I can add Photos, but can't fill in the blanks.

Any ideas?

I've used "Imports" quite a bit, as well, but "Recents" may work just about as well. All "Imports" really has going for it is separating into import groups. Also, all pictures are in Recents, but some pictures can bypass Imports. I think I can adjust.

Same here. I decided to wait until today to upgrade to Sequoia specifically because of concerns about the Photos app. I thought everything looked safe, since there were posts about customizing it to look pretty much like what you were using with Sonoma. This was the first thing that I hit, and it's so important for me to have instant access between Library and Imports that I've decided to roll back to 17.7. If it ever changes where I can move Imports back to the top, I'll be back. For now, I'll submit a feedback request. But at this rate, I probably won't be using Sequoia until next summer.

I posted "A Keyboard Maestro action to choose Imports from the View menu does not work."

Another Keyboard Maestro user created a shortcut that does bring up Imports using a different approach than I tried. It seems to work so far, and it's one click away in a KM palette. I can't post a link to the KM discussion group (Apple removed my previous post that had a link.)
