I see red leaking from under text on external monitor

I've used a wide 34in. MSI monitor without problems with my M1 Studio. Now I bought a 34in. oled wide MSI and I'm getting slightly drunk because of the red colour that comes from under text on the screen. Here's what I mean

Is there something I can do about the red colour under the text? Or is this screen just not compatible?

Thanks,

Karel

on older VGA displays, red green and blue data were sent separately over different conductors in the cables. Cable problems could cause color tints.

On modern DisplayPort or even HDMI displays, screen data are sent as digital packets of data, no no transmission issue can change colors in any way.

This is not a problem in your Mac or cabling or compatibility. That display is out of adjustment..

The defect you report is likely a sample defect in the sample of that model display you are using. There may be some internal adjustments, typically available under adjustments called 'Convergence', that could get all the colors inside the display lined up with each other properly.

Try a couple of setting changes to see if they help.

1) go to > Apple > System Settings > Accessibility > select Display and turn On Reduce Transparency.

2) then scroll down in that same section of the settings to Color Filters and turn Off Color Filters.

Plus if you are using the cheap MSI supplied HDMI cable.

Replace that HDMI cable with a short 1 meter High Speed 8K 2.1 HDMI cable.
