LG Ultrafine 4K (24MD4KL) suddenly has pink tint across the entire screen
I have been the happy owner of an LG Ultrafine 4k for roughly 1.5 years... until 2 weeks ago, when turning the monitor on after 2 weeks of no use led the entire screen to go pink. I have been using it as a extended display to my MacBook Pro 16" for the entire time and now, roughly 4 months prior to warranty expiry, it has a pink tint across the entire screen. Needless to say, working with it has become straining for the eyes and not enjoyable. I've already spoken to LG and they claim to have replaced the LCD panel in the latest repair attempt, but this has not resolved the problem. I also tested the display (post-repair) with a PC and it also displays images with the same kind of pink tint (you can see both images below).
Does anyone have (or had) the same issue and has anything other than a full exchange of the monitor helped? I would be very curious to hear about your experiences with these displays, as shipping my display across the country for repair isn't particularly enjoyable and good use of my time.
Thanks!
