How do you stop getting pop up for “Do you want to download “occ” on my iPhone and iPad?

Yep, it has been reported many times.

• Happen on all browsers
• Happens on iOS17, 18, and also reported on iOS16 and iPadOS. One report of MacOS, but not confirmed.
• Reports that Ad blockers may help
• Appears to come from mostly news sites
• Unclear if the sites are compromised similar to the WordPress Malware/Hack that happened earlier this year.
• No executable can be downloaded on your device, so no need to worry about installing Malware.
• Out of all the posts, I have only seen 2 people that have actually contacted Apple and they have been scheduled for an appointment with an engineer, so they will update after that appointment.
• Does not affect all users, as some don't get the pop up on the same sites.
