Why do I keep getting this pop up on my iPad “do you want to download occ?”

I keep getting the pop up “do you want to download occ?” What is it and how do I resolve?

While there had been no confirmation I can find, that appears to most likely be a malware attack on a number of websites, mostly or all being news sites from what I've seen. If that is indeed the case, there's nothing you can do about it other than just closing the popup when it appears. Do not, under any circumstances, allow the download.

I too got this popup on my iPad (gen 9) yesterday and today. However, at the beginning of the week I updated to 17.7. Prior to that never had this popup appear. Now, it may be just a co-incidence and it is not the fault of the update. I was on a particular website that is known for many news sites when it happened. It would not surprise me that it is dealing with a malware attack. I immediately closed the popup and went to 'clear history and website data'. Did notify Apple.
