Notifications for missed calls not appearing in iPhone post iOS 18 update

After upgrading to ios 18 I found that the missed calls simply do not appear as a notification. Is there any explanation and solution for this problem?

It's not always the iOS update's fault!  Many things can cause phone problems.  If you tell people you think it's an iOS update, it might make it harder to fix or find a solution for the real issue.

Remember, the right question often leads to the solution! Please look in the right direction.

iOS updates aim to enhance user experience, boost security, and fix bugs rather than disrupt core features. The majority of the issues after updates might stem from underlying, unmentioned factors. Updates won't typically alter personal data but may refine settings or features. Backup before major updates for safety. Review Apple's update details and backup advice for a smooth process.

Kindly consider checking your settings and addressing any device issues before attributing the issue to external factors. This could be a pure coincidence that the iOS update affected the iPhone functions.

Before initiating a standard iOS update, it's advisable to create a backup. Have you completed this step? If yes, proceed with the restoration from the backup.

Just a quick update, when I got the new update I started using Face ID to lockout certain apps and one of those apps was the phone app. Once I turned that off I started getting my notifications again. Prior to that I’d actually contacted Apple and they went through everything and couldn’t work out what was wrong and said that it was possibly my carriers fault. If you have the Face ID on to open your phone app, turn it off

I updated to 18.1 last night and now I don’t get missed call notifications. They are in my calls list as missed calls and the phone rings as normal with the callers name but when they stop ringing there is no notification saying I’ve had a missed call and there is no checkmark on the Phone app saying I’ve missed a call. Glad it’s not just me but I’d really like an answer. All the settings are as they are supposed to be, I’ve reset the network settings and also did the hard reset. Nothing’s changed
