Unable to add new debit card to apple pay

Not sure what the bot comment was about. My comment was a reply to the OP, not you. The OP didn’t mention his model or iOS version. I asked you your error message, which you did not state in your first comment.

On average I’d say there are one or two issues similar to yours everyday or so. There are multiple issues and it’s rarely an Apple issue. In my experience being a regular here for 2 to 3 years it’s almost always user error, bank issues or Payment Network Operator issues. The resolution is many times difficult as the PNO tries to reduce fraud and the bank support team is poorly trained and couldn’t explain how Apple Pay works if they had to.

So, if you’re ready to troubleshoot this issue we can get started. 😀

That is what I have been told also but apple doesn’t want to admit to it. Always telling me it’s on my banks side even though my banks ran my card numbers on their testing devices and they have said it’s coming from Apple. I got the problem taken up to the engineers at Apple and then they came back and said it was on my banks end. No clue what to do at this point. I’m on my iPhone 15 pro running iOS 18

If this is wasnt a bot then you would of seen I said at the end of my reply that I was on a iPhone 15 Pro running IOS 18. and message that I keep getting is "Card Not Added" Contact your card issuer for more infomation". which i have i done already many times./

i feel like a butthead now haha. Here is the thing. I have done everything possible that Apple has told me to do and what not. I have tried it all. Unless there is something else that i might of not have done yet. but i have checked region, reset the network, restored my iphone, restored my iphone to where it would be when you first take it out of the box. I think i got all of them. VPN has never been used. and I think thats it.

Are you verifying using the new method of placing your card on the top of the screen or are you manually adding the card details?

PS: I’m a former Apple Store Manager and have worked in the finance, banking and securities industry. I do what I can to assist fellow Apple users. 😀

I have been entering them in Manually. They recently turned off the tap to touch with a card on the iPhones. I'm still on 18 IOS. my bank said that once the number pings off their servers that once it hits apple the 0 changed to 1 or something and thats when Apple rejects the card.

What iPhone are using and what iOS version are you using. Have you updated to the latest version of iOS?

im so sorry man. i just seen so many related posts like this these last week that I thought maybe this was a Apple Bot. my bad man,.

They turned off, are you saying the bank turned off the feature on their end?

No Apple turned off ability to hold your card up to your phone and it would read the chip and then automaticly input your card info into apple wallet. But they turned it off

No I’m the iOS 18 that got released this week.
