Who did you buy this iPhone from? If you purchased it from Apple directly or from an authorized Apple reseller, then it's almost certainly just an error in their database. Whoever entered in the sale may just have entered something incorrectly. As long as you have the sales receipt showing the serial number (assuming of course that the serial number matches that on your iPhone), that is usually sufficient should you need warranty service. You can of course call Apple Support and talk to them about the error. They may be able to correct the database so the coverage is correctly reflected.

If you purchased the iPhone from some other source, then it's possible that this "iPhone" is a fake, or its stolen and the serial number has been altered. I doubt that's the case or I would expect it wouldn't come up as an iPhone 15, but I can't say it's impossible.

Regards.

How can i call apple to see if its just an error ?

This is probably not an error. It is an Apple phone, but the phone was not new when you bought it.....it was refurbished.

We might be able to tell you a bit more about the phone if you can provide the Model Number to us.

Settings > General > About > Model Number (We do not need a serial number, so please do not post that)

In the meantime, check to see if you can find the name of the shop that sold you the phone using this link that displays authorized resellers in your area:
