Unable to send a WhatsApp message via Siri on iPhone

Can't start a WhatsApp message via Siri, Siri indicates that the person I want to send a message to “has not enabled WhatsApp messages”. Strange thing is that I can physically send a message to that person.

WhatsApp no longer working with Siri Whenever I try to send a message using Siri via WhatsApp on my iPhone or watch I get a response saying the recipient hasn't got WhatsApp turned on. Siri works with iMessage and other apps fine so it can't be Siri, my phone or the watch and I can use WhatsApp fine on the phone if I manually type a message but I need to be able to utilise this function. Just wondering if anyone else had this particular issue?
