Brightness won't go up Macbook Air

Hi all as the title suggest, my brightness won't turn up. I am using an M3 MacBook Air. After I put my mac to sleep, I opened it 30 minutes later to my brightness being dimmed and I cannot adjust it in settings, on my keyboard or in the control centre. The only way I can fix this is to restart my mac, (which resolves the issue) however this has happened 3 times today. I'm not sure what is causing this, as the problem only started today. I have not installed any new applications. However I have a speculation this is caused by the new mac os update???? as I never had this problem before. I have also noticed that when I go to apple menu then sleep, there is usually a delay before my display closes, again this issue only appeared today (fixed when restart) does anyone else have this problem? :(

For those in the future that have this problem, I ended up doing first aid on my utility disk, then reinstalled Mac OS, which all unfortunately didn't work. I ended bringing it to the genius bar, which did a factory reset (still didn't solve the problem), they checked my hardware and said they didn't know what is causing the issue. Since my Mac is under warranty they gave me a new one :)

Dead Screen Replacement:

I had to send my Mac into Apple 11 times during the days of COVID. The issue was not a brightness issue, but rather a dead screen time. Being under coverage, the gave me a new one too.
