"For those in the future that have this problem, I ended up doing first aid on my utility disk, then reinstalled Mac OS, which all unfortunately didn't work. I ended bringing it to the genius bar, which did a factory reset (still didn't solve the problem), they checked my hardware and said they didn't know what is causing the issue. Since my Mac is under warranty they gave me a new one :)"

Dead Screen Replacement:

I had to send my Mac into Apple 11 times during the days of COVID. The issue was not a brightness issue, but rather a dead screen time. Being under coverage, the gave me a new one too.
