Scissors and + missing from GarageBand

I recently needed to re-download GarageBand and notice a couple of handy things missing from the version I have now. 1. The scissor icon is no longer in the top left 2. The plus sign which allowed me to set the number of bars is no longer at the top right. Anyone know what might have happened to these?

Garageband Chord Viewer Hi there, I used to be able to plug my MIDI keyboard in and play a chord and instantly see the chord being played on the top display thing that's right under the project name. I haven't used garageband in a few months, but I came back to play my keyboard today and I can no longer see then name of the key or chord being played. How do I get this back? The only thing I can think of is the tuning fork icon, but I'm not sure that's what I need and it is also greyed out. Thanks!

GarageBand the Horizontal and vertical navigation bar is missing In the new version of garageband i cannot move inside the window of the tracks because the vertical bar and the horizontal bar does not appear!
