For the record. After going back and forth with Apple and AT&T... AT&T found the switch to enable Hotspot. Keeping in mind all the "user support" tools at AT&T "worked", they are a complete waste of time.

This was done by escalating to the AT&T Advanced Network team. It appears when you tell them the DHCP address never gets set, they understand that. Once enabled properly my Hotspot works wonderfully.

It's not an iPhone problem, I stand corrected.

Hotspot is AT&T feature. What did they say when you reported the issue to them.

Seems to me this is an iPhone 15 Pro problem. I spent time with AT&T, we confirmed Hotspot support and reset the cellular (FYI - both of which can be done using the web support tools). I even deleted and reinstalled the eSIM. We have two phones on this account, the other, an iPhone SE works flawlessly.

I also escalated the call with Apple Support, after informing them that I restored my iPhone from iCloud once and secondly installed "as a new iPhone", and it still fails. Apple Support then recommended taking it to an Apple Store.

The real problem is the Mac (or any client) never gets an IP address from the iPhone. The iPhone issues a DHCP address if things are working properly. One other bug is that the Hotspot icon never shows up in the Dynamic Island. Strangely enough when USB tethered the Hotspot icon appears but the Hotspot fails the same, no DHCP address.

For the record I just replaced a working iPhone 13 with this iPhone 15 Pro.
