Can't open individual iCloud emails in Android

I can log in successfully. I can navigate folders and empty trash. I can move messages, delete them individually or in bulk. I can do everything the platform allows except open an email to read it. If I REPLY to an email in my Inbox, I can see the body of the message. But straight up just read it? Nope.

I'm running a Pixel 6 Pro with the latest Android update (14) as of June 2024. I usually open iCloud in Chrome but I've tried Edge as well. Same results. I've done a warm reboot and I've done a cold reboot on the phone. I've tried switching Google accounts. No success. I have about 25% remaining on my free iCloud allotment. The phone has 461 Gb free storage (Yes, not a typo).

I don't know where to go with this. If it was an Apple problem, I shouldn't be able to do everything except read. But yet I can. I don't fool around with settings on the phone so I can't see how I fat-fingered an option.

Anyone have any suggestions?

It's an option that I'm not entirely thrilled with. I did that when I had to switch back to WinDoze. It was OK but really no better than "...meh...". I simply prefer iCloud even though it's in a WinDoze browser. Third party providers I've tried are always fiddling around with their apps and breaking things. That just never happens with Apple/iCloud. Thanks anyway.
