The 2024 Beats Pill allows to have audio through USB-C connection. I got an Aux to USB-C connection adapter and try to play audio with non-bluetooth devices with no success. Instructions say “press power button when connecting USB-C cable for audio output” but it doesn’t work.
Does this Beats Pill not support audio when the input is via aux 3.5?
It supports USB-C to USB-C for lossless audio. Otherwise it's only a bluetooth speaker. The method of holding down the power button works when you are connecting it to a USB-C source like a Mac or iPhone/iPad. But aux won't work.
It will say on your device instead of whatever you speaker is named, it shows USB Beats Pill as the sound source.
And I can say as someone who tried it, the difference in sound between bluetooth and USB-C lossless is minimal at best. It's only noticeable in the Apple Music app and the music goes from 16bit ALAC to 24bit ALAC.

FWIW, I tried using my Sonos AUX to USB-C adapter with the new Beats Pills and audio didn’t. seem to passthrough.
