Airpods is not showing up in FindMy

I have an Airpods Pro 2nd gen and my phone is iPhone 7 plus with iOS 15.8.2 (which is its best). I tried factory resetting it but after reconnecting it still didn't show up (however when i tried with higher iOS in other iPhones it did). Is this one of the missing functions with lower Os or an error with my Airpods?
