Bluetooth Unavailable - iPhone 13 and Airpods Pro 2nd Generation

Hello Apple Community,

before I start, I know there is A LOT of people creating threads like this, but I want to be as descriptive as I can be, so hopefully someone at Apple sees this and gets every piece of information to fix this issue.

So I believe that it started with the iOS 17.5.1 update, but to be honest I’m not 100% sure. From the title you can see that my issue is happening between my iPhone 13 and my Airpods Pro 2nd Generation. Almost all the time, when I try to connect them to my phone, the bluetooth disables and grays out in the control center and in the settings it becomes “Unavailable” (pictures below, czech language). Then it tries to connect again after like a 10-20 seconds. So I try to play some music and either it stops after not even a second or it plays for a bit and then it disconnects again and disables the bluetooth once again. This cycle repeats until I reboot my phone or “forget” the Airpods in the settings and pair them again. After that, it sometimes works fine until I put them back in the case after listening session, but other times I have to do this twice or three times for them to “wake up?”. It’s so random and it’s driving me nuts. I’ve tried everything I can think of. Reseting the Airpods by holding the button on the back, I did that like four times. Deleting them from my iCloud. Turning off my phone and leaving it for like an hour and finally “forgetting” them in the bluetooth settings of course. One time I somehow even managed to connect the same Airpods twice to my phone. When that happens, it glitches either the same or in the worst case, my entire phone freezes, to the point where I can’t even turn it off and reboot it! Of course before making this post, I’ve tried to search on the internet myself. But the main issue is that everybody seems to say it’s the softwares fault or it’s a bluetooth hardware failure, which scares me a bit, because I’m against someone tampering with the hardware in my phone. If anyone has the same devices as me and is experiencing this issue, PLEASE leave your fixes or any other tips on this issue in the replies! I want to mainly know if it’s a hardware or software issue.

That’s so unfortunate, hopefully they fix it soon or at least with iOS 18. To be honest I’m so relieved that I’m not alone in this.
