MAC Sonoma 14.5 Causing Mouse issues?

The left click button on my wired Kensington rollerball stopped working. I thought it was broke. I ordered a new one. In the meantime, I plugged in all my spare cordless mouse into my anchor data portDriver/software and had some issues with my mouse, cursor, jumping around. Does the new software not support plug and play devices?

I'm having a similar issue: My Logitech wireless mouse/keyboard worked fine on multiple setups for two years, then suddenly started behaving erratically. Keys would go "dead," or other keys would respond--in duplicate/triplicate sometimes--instead. The mouse began skipping or not responding, as if lint was caught in the optics. I bought a brand new set from a different manufacturer, but it's having the same issues. THAT'S when I realized that the erratic behavior began when I updated to 14.5. I'm currently using a wired Apple keyboard and (ugh) the trackpad to get any work done on my 2023 MacBook Air.

Are you saying this is a new issue —macOS 14.5 in particular compared to the macOS 14.4.1 no issues(?)

wired... try a different cable, a different port, a different adapter(?) and compare your results.

You can try a Apple branded mouse in comparison...
