Contacts Not Syncing to my MacBook Pro

Hello,

My contacts are not syncing between iCloud and my Mac Book and I cannot determine why. They used to but stopped suddenly some time ago. I need some input.

  1. I have read Apple's articles. All devices are up to date, all signed in with the same ID (only have one) and date/time settings are correct. I am missing something.
  2. My iPhone is synced with iCloud and both show the exact same 462 contacts. My MacBook shows 429 contacts. I am assuming 429 is when my MacBook stopped syncing.
  3. Account CardDAV and CalDAV are both enabled on my MacBook.
  4. Calendars on the other hand are syncing fine between iCloud, iPhone and MacBook so I am thinking this is not an Apple ID issue or similar setting as mentioned in Apple articles. In other words, if I add a calendar event on my iPhone it instantly syncs to iCloud and my MacBook.

I gave up trying to figure this out as I use my iPhone for contacts mostly but I have a renewed interest in figuring this out.

Thanks in advance if someone has an idea of what I am missing.

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 14.5
