Connecting my new Apple TV to my Samsung TV and TV does not recognize the Apple TV and says no signal. The Apple TV connected to a Samsung monitor works fine, so I know the Apple TV is working.

Typically it is the TV that says ‘no signal’ when it doesn’t receive data through HDMI.
Verify that the TV is set to take input from the HDMI port to which the Apple TV box is connected.

How long is the HDMI cable?
Cable is 2 meters and works with blue ray player. Cable also works when plugged into HDMI cable. Since then I did verify that the Apple TV box works with a different newer Samsung TV.
No signal usually means a cable problem. I’d try 1m just to be sure it’s not the cable.
