chromebook will not connect to iphone hotspot

Hi I just recently began having issues with my iPhone Hotspot not connecting to my Chromebook, I have tried resetting both connections and resetting the Chromebook to factory reset. Change my password, forget, and reconnecting. I get : Error configuring network and just connecting to Not connected every time. The phone hotspot works fine with my Mac and the Chromebook connects correctly to other Wifi connections. Has anyone seen this recently this connection and hardware worked fine the last time I used it.

I had the same problem with my lenovo flex 5 and iphone 15 hotspot.

I posted on the Chromebook Community and got a workaround that appears to be working at least for now. Here is the Chromebook workaround link. https://support.google.com/chromebook/thread/283878343?hl=en&msgid=285681809

The text was a little unclear so I wrote what I did below:

 1) Open Chrome browser

2) Typed in address bar chrome:\\flags and hit enter. This takes you to Experiments.

3) searched for IPV6 which returned the following: "Enable RFC8925 (prefer IPv6-only on IPv6-only-capable network)"

4) changed drop-down menu from default to disabled.

5) hit restart button

6) connected iPhone hotspot that now has internet connection!

It should be noted that this setting is in Experiments and there is this warning:"WARNING: EXPERIMENTAL FEATURES AHEAD! By enabling these features, you could lose browser data or compromise your security or privacy. Enabled features apply to all users of this browser. If you are an enterprise admin you should not be using these flags in production."

Have not had any issues since changing this setting.

Hope this helps.

I have the same problem. T-Mobile went through the same process. I had a 30 minute tech support phone call with them. The representative concluded, I need to contact Apple support. Please help! Note: We have the same issue on two different IPhones. We used to be able to connect to the hot spot and now we can't. The phones appear to connect, then there is a network error when the internet is used. Also I am using a Samsung Chrome Book.
