Siri not working after 17.4.1 update

Recently updated my phone to 17.4.1 and noticed Siri is not working anymore. I did forced restart, turned Siri off and on. When I turn Siri off and on it prompts me to read the message hey siri how’s the weather, but doesn’t pick up anything. Mic is working fine, I can make calls fine and voice memo is working fine as well. Is this a bug in the new update?

"I’m having the same issue after 17.4.1. I’ve been in contact with Apple support, but so far no fix. (Voice dictation is also not working and appears to be a related issue.)"

Report this to Apple, as I mentioned in my above reply.

Please provide a screenshot. That would most certainly help. IMPORTANT: Keep personal information(i.e. phone numbers) off of these forums, by covering it with red-colored rectangles and such, through use of the photos app. See here: Take a Screenshot on iPhone - Apple Support

Troubleshooting SIRI Issues:

A. Start here: If "Hey Siri" isn't Working on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

B. Restore your iPhone from a Backup:

Have any backups of this iPhone prior to this occurrence? If so, restore your iPhone from one that has these photos (the most recent backup, ideally). If not, then take this as a learning experience, knowing to always back up your device for recovery purposes. Important: Back up you iPhone prior to performing this restoration, should anything go wrong from here on out.

C. Report this to Apple:

Do your part: Let Apple know what is going on here. Provide them with feedback on this. They may not get back to you directly, but the more feedback they received on this, the more they will know what is going on, and what needs to be fixed in updates to come.

  1. Go Here: Feedback - iPhone - Apple
  2. Select: "Bug Report" for the "Feedback Type"
  3. Comment: that this all began after installing and update. Include the URL of this thread.
  4. Proceed from there aw necessary
