Turn off ‘AirPods paired’ banner notification?

Every time I connect my (already paired) airpod pros I get a ‘temporary banner’ and the sound notification.

i definitely don’t want the banner AND want to turn the sound notification way down.

In notification settings on my iPhone (11, with current iOS yes), I can’t find ‘Bluetooth’ nor ‘airpods’ to modify the paired/connected notifications.

How can I at least turn that banner notification off (I know I can swipe it off it’s just an annoyance)?

It would be great to have more control over those related ‘now connected’ notifications as well but it’s been tricky (how loud) if any ‘approach’ to that on general I’m all ears!! :-)

The banner may be annoying but the ‘dong’ noise volume … Ive tried many things since then, makes me wish to find another device despite the enormous benefit of many of the airpod pro features. Picture this: feeling calm cool and collected but getting set to use a meditation app my ‘emotional response to the connected dong is a feeling of ‘fight’ then flight. Obviously we all have ups and downs and some lurk beneath the surface (e.g. being primed to get angry when in q quiet room all this incredible technology and no option to not have an aural assault. I am disappointed to not hear an answer which likely (since none) may be ‘there is none.’ I remember this is Lso a problem with their low battery alert so one cannot use then for sleep as many of us learned the hard way. In this case I’ll hold them in my hand, turning off ear detection probably to connect. I already am carefully coordinating swiftly removing both within milliseconds of each other to not hVe the second one complain.

many many people post about the fixible not having ‘siri’ announce notifications THAT is off for me. I even went imto hearing safety to see now low I could limit sound (80 decibels) I don’t know how loud the connected disconnected alert is but changing the maximal volume has no effect. Nor does decreasing the volume for any other ring or alert or media audio in any preferences i can find.

apple thinks they know better for all of us … and they often DO know sow and put it oit and we love it but never would have done it on our own or even thought of it. But. I love these little critters use them carefully my pro1s i got my moneys worth out of them using a long time in challenging environments (pouring sweat).

Here’s a little gem feature to placate some perhaps still reading but wondering why. The new(er) adaptive noise setting not cancelation nor transparency … both? Couldn't figure out why or what the point was (even reading reading yes the general description but was still playing around but didn't ‘get’ why… until walking into the blare of a noisy pub for dinner one weekend night…amazing…reduced overall noise almost 10 decibels AND i could hear others talking much more easily (they then asked me to speak up)! Wow that alone (perhaps for zome in noisy work environments where they cant just silence everyone out? Is a killer app.

Apple i love you but like an adult please don't make me get too creative in my workarounds or consider going back to wires and such…many things are more convenient in new tech but lower quality (music). Privacy and other statements say they think were smart and can make our own choices…im glad they locked down privacy more first but now the ‘helpful connection DONG volume would be now next on my ‘seems small but getting really annoying’ list.

thanks you,

longtime apple-phile

p.s. Careful out there though buying other things read the fine print and when it doesnt specify look up and ask thw question even im still surprised: was helping a friend with his other big brand ear buds ‘there must be a app on iphone…’ oops no (got the sense not apples fault but the other company).

p.p.s. Commiseration or other advice welcome if don't wish to read long posts thats up to you i’m just here trying yo make sense of all this fir myself and i hope some others!

So turn off notification and sound, so how are you going to know you're connected? Go to settings - bluetooth or swipe the notification center to see if your connected?
