Impact of iOS 17.4 Update on social media app

I keep getting pop ups that say

You’re on iOS 17.4

this version requires us to ask for permission to track some data….

we limit the use of this information if don’t turn on this device setting.

I had to delete snap chat as I couldn’t access it and despite trying lots of things couldn’t get the app to access my camera.

I stopped receiving texts as well.

I have turned my phone off and on multiple times…..

so frustrating.

The pop ups are normal. There are some new regulations that are implemented with the iOS 17.4 update, they mean that you need to give specific permission for apps to use tracking cookies for example.

You can also see a popup asking you if you want to use safari as your main browser or if you want another one. All due to (mostly European) regulations if you're in the EU

If you don't receive texts this can be something at your carriers Side, I would reccommend to contact them
