How to fix CD Ripping error 54 on Apple Music using Mac?

For the past month I've been ripping CDs to an external HD. Today when Music started it had a Get Started pop up. When I put in a CD to rip I got error 54. I restarted the computer, reauthorized the Mac, checked permissions and everything looks right. Any insight on why this might be happening?

Why am I getting an access denied error when trying to import CD into Apple Music on my Mac mini? Trying to import a CD into Music on a new Mac mini I get the error message "The file [name] couldn't be converted. Access to the source volume was denied. Check the system settings for removable volume access". I've followed instructions to make sure removable volumes is checked in Settings/Privacy & Security/ Files & Folders/Music. CD rip error in Apple Music on MacBook Air: "required file cannot be found" I'm attempting to rip a CD to Apple Music on my MacBook Air 2020 running Monterey 12.6. I am able to rip the first file in each attempt, but as soon as it moves on to the second, I receive the same error message over and over: "Error occurred while converting the file [file name]. The required file cannot be found." After reviewing older threads here I've tried removing the Music icon and relaunching the program from the applications folder; updating permissions to "read and write" access for my Apple Music folders; changed the default location for imported music tracks to the music folder under my primary user identity; I have rebooted the computer after each of these steps. However, I continue to receive the same error message each time I try to rip a CD (I've tried multiple different CDs purchased at different times, etc.). I'd welcome any helpful suggestions. Thanks.

Yesterday I started getting the same error when I try to import a CD in to Apple Music on my iMac. The error is

Error occurred while converting the file “??What ever ??”. An unknown error occurred (-54).
