Sonoma 14.4.1 Problem - Cannot connect to other Mac's on home network

Hello,

Since upgrading to 14.4.1 I cannot connect with the other Mac's on the home network.

All I get is "There was a problem connecting to the server. The server may not exist or is unavailable at this time etc."

The server name and IP address are unchanged and the network connections are working.

Any suggestions of what I can try?

After 13.2.1 Ventura upgrade connecting to Mac mini no longer possible I upgraded today to 13.2.1 Ventura and now I cannot any longer connect from my MBP to my Mac mini (2018) on my local wired network (screen sharing still works). I have two MBP’s in my network and neither can connect to the Mac mini anymore. On both it all worked fine before the update. The Mac mini can connect to the 2 MBP’ on the network. Any ideas?

Connection to machine (a Raspberry Pi) on local network fails Hi! My M1 MacBook Air keeps getting "Connection Failed" when reconnecting to a local machine on my network. I keep forgetting to log out before taking my MacBook with me, and when I return the local machine shows up in the "Networks" folder, but I cannot connect to it or remove it. AppleTalk connection issue between MAC OS 10.4.11 workstation and MAC OS 8.6 server Hello, We have been using a handful of IMAC G5's running OS 10.4.11 on our server network for decades. The file server is a G3 running OS 8.6. All of a sudden, all of the G5's have lost connection to the Appleshare file server via Appletalk. We can connect to the internet, and we are being assigned a proper IP address with no issue. None of our settings have changed and we have rebooted everything multiple times, but still cannot connect. We can ping the server from the Network Utility just fine. We can also see the AppleTalk entity from the Network Utility. But when we try to connect to the server using Finder>Go>Connect to Server we get the following error message "You cannot connect to this server because it cannot be found on the network. Try again later or try a different URL." This has been working for decades. Does anyone have any idea why this would suddenly fail? Thanks!

It turns out that turning the Firewall off on all the Macs allows the connections to be made.I have turned the Firewall back on all of the Macs and the connections are stable .... so far.

Yes, I should have thought to do this in the first instance.
