Hi wolfwerk,
I also called Apple's Tech Support after I posted my problem viewing "Bloody Hundred" video (above).
Got 'Tory", who helped me track down the problem for over 1 hour! He was very good & determined to fix it. While I also think a faulty, or perhaps more likely, an "unusual" format of the video is the ultimate problem, we were able to fix it on my Roku (video device I use with my Sony TV). Here's what Tory suggested I do:
Problem --> Was in the Roku's Settings >>> Display Type >>> Automatic (Dolby 4K Vision)
Fix --> Change from Dolby 4k --> 1080 p TV
He was right, the video played fine afterwards. Again, I think there is some conflict between the "Bloody Hundred" video format & the video decoder that is used by Roku & probably many other video devices.
After watching the excellent video documentary (Bloody Hundred), I switched my TV back to it's default "Automatic (Dolby 4K Vision)" setting.
Good luck on fixing your video problem; I'm sorry the fix is "inelegant"!
