No matter what I’ve tried, AppleTV programs running through my Roku are a nightmare. The episode sound cuts, video gets jerky, and it’s stuttering which makes watching an episode infuriating. Anyone actually have a way to fix this?
Have tried:
Refreshing app
Uninstalling, hard booting Roku and reinstalling
Everything else the internet suggested.
Apple TV 4K (3rd generation)
Is this resolved yet? I am having stuttering issues with Apple TV on Roku. No other streaming service on Roku has this issue. Only Apple TV.
I'm about to go BIG on social media about his because I know many Apple TV/Roku users have this same problem.
Please don't ask me to do troubleshooting steps because I have done it all several times with Apple Support with no resolution.

If you go to apple app on Roku and then go to settings in the apple app - for me it is at the top where you see a bar with watch now, 🍎tv, MLS, Store, library, 🔍, and the gear - click on the gear and you should see a list of options under general. For me it’s the 9th option on the list. Hope that helps
My Apple TV continues to stop after 15 minutes or so and won't reconnect. It keeps saying it can't connect to the network. I've tried all the other fixes suggested here and restarted everything including my television to get it to work but its non-functional. Its most frustrating to be paying for something that is not working. It may be going by the wayside.
Apple, I've heard from multiple people having this issue and we would like a fix!

Its not just Roku, it was happening shen using the app on my Sony Bravia, and my Xbox Series X but if you Go onto settings, General > switch Limit Playback to SD on. Once I did this I don’t have any issues! I was reluctant b/c I didn't want to lose 4k but this will do

Quite frequently Apple TV+ will not load a show but will instead show the error message "Unable to play. There's a problem playing this video. Try again or troubleshoot the issue."
So I troubleshoot and diagnostics find nothing wrong. And then the message just says "Whelp, try again later." This is ******.
I had the same issue for around a year with the Apple TV app on Roku. Go onto settings, General > switch Limit Playback to SD on. Once I did this I don’t have any issues!
hi NicolaMx, can you please be more specific with your instructions? go into settings in Apple TV app on Roku tv or go into settings on Roku tv? I can't find a "General" or "Liimit Playback to SD"

I did this and it's still happening on my roku and my fire TV so it's not just roku.
