iPhone 13 update iOS 17.4 GPS/Location not working

Maps services does not have precise location due to GPS accuracy issue.

Start to use a new iPhone 13 and update to iOS 17.4.

The Maps, Google Maps and Waze does not update localization properly due to GPS issue.

Some GPS Status and GPS Data Apps were installed ti check the accuracy of GPS and horizontal precision never goes lower than 35m and the speed is not calculated.

Other iPhone 13 but with previous iOS version works fine.

I did all the attempts suggested by Apple Support with no effects and a diagnosis log didn't point to a hardware issue.

The only missing suggestion not made yet, is reset my iPhone via iTunes to downgrade the version to factory and see if works.

The iOS 17.4 release notes contains information about CVE issues fixes related to location.

I'm pretty confident this release is causing the GPS issue.

Apple, please, release an update to fix this!

Just migrate from Android after all my life using it and my first impressions are not good!

Hi SravanKrA

I'm already in touch with Apple Support.

Third-part apps were used to check but even the iOS default Maps is displaying the location with a huge delay, so, its clear an issue of communication between Localization/GPS device and the Apps consuming it.

Any report from a third-party app cannot be validated here in this forum.

If you encounter any challenges with third-party applications, the best course of action is to directly contact the app developer for further assistance. Here's a brief guide on how to do it:

  1. Identify the app developer.
  2. Visit their website or app store listing.
  3. Look for their contact information or support channels.
  4. Clearly describe the issue you are facing.
  5. Provide any necessary information they may need.
  6. Follow their instructions and provide feedback.
  7. Be patient and follow up if needed.

By reaching out to the app developer, you increase your chances of receiving accurate and personalized support for the challenges you're experiencing. To contact an App developer --> How to contact an app developer - Apple Support

Just bought a brand new iPad Air 5 and upgraded immediately during personalization to iOS 17.4.1 as suggested.

from the very beginning of usage location service was only very sporadic for a few seconds, that made navigation completely unusable. Beside OSMAND, tested built in apple navigation and weather apps with same unusable result. All suggested solutions to activate location services did not work eather.

Now on a journey of four weeks without reasonable connection to the internet with sufficient bandwidth, there is no way to downgrade to factory version of iOS.

completely disappointed, because navigating was the main application for the purchase.

Hope, that this issue will be fixed with an iOS update very soon
