How to manage location sharing permissions on Apps in iPhone?

can the person i share my location with indefinitely only see my current location if i open the app if i allowed it to use my location only when using the app? or can they just see it all the time

Unable to Share my Location I have enabled share my location in both privacy and security, and find my iPhone settings. If I attempt to share my location with someone, they never receive the request to do so. If someone requests to share their location with me, I get notified about it, but when I tap 'share' then 'share indefinitely', it does a quick load, and nothing happens. The request just stays there. How do I fix this?

Location sharing not working since recent update Ever since I updated to iOS 17, I haven’t been able to use location sharing with my family members. I’ll either get, “location not found” or a location that is anywhere from a few hours to a day old. Is this something that can be fixed with changes in settings or is it a bug that I need to wait on an update for? Especially where my senior family members are concerned, it’s been a highly beneficial feature for me to use. Thanks.

If you share your location with someone, then that person will be able to see your location all the time.
