Can you hide your location temporarily when sharing your location with other iPhones?

when sharing your location with other iPhones can you hide your location temporarily instead of stop sharing totally? Sometimes I don’t want others to see my location for a little while

If you turn off location services on iPad, does it automatically stop sharing location on my iPhone? This is not a personal issue. More of a general question. if I have cellular iPad and turn my location off, will it automatically disable my shared location on my iPhone?
