Unable to change photo gallery permissions for all apps

I never get a prompt to allow an app to access the camera or photo gallery. Under the app in settings, there is no option to enable gallery access. I have no screentime restrictions. I have tried updating my iOS, resetting all settings, and restarting my phone. Nothing I have tried is working and not a single app has access to my photo gallery (Discord, Snapchat, Messenger, etc.) Attempting to open Privacy and Security > Photos freezes my Settings app and does not resolve until it is forcefully exited. I am out of ideas.

iPhone 15 Plus, iOS 17

We can't fix anything as we're all end users like yourself. Tell Apple what new features you'd like added in Photos via Feedback - Photos - Apple

Would also like to add some apps, such as Discord, have a setting for Photos listed under Settings > Discord, but when I attempt to give full access it automatically defaults back to “None” when I exit that menu.

I’m having the same exact issue. I woke up today and my phone has been acting all weird. None of my social media apps can access my camera, photos, or microphone. When I try and fix this it just says “private access.” I’ve tried changing it but it gives me no option to. If you fixed this pleae lmk how!
